Additional Guidelines

The integrity of the IGP Specialty brand depends on the proper use of several elements besides the Logo and Branding Bar.

Color Palette

The IGP Specialty color palette consists of IGPS Blue, IGPS Orange, IGPS Pale Blue, IGPS Pale Orange, and white. Get a PDF with color formulas for print and online use here.

Fonts

The IGP Specialty corporate font family is Museo Sans. Regular or condensed variations can be used, depending on need.

Preferences: Museo Sans Regular, 300 for text, 700 for headlines. Use Museo Sans Condensed only if space is limited.

  • When Museo Sans is not available, Avenir may be used.
  • Avoid the use of any other fonts, especially decorative fonts.

Images

Photography is the preferred type of image to be used in marketing materials in which images are used. Photos with a person or persons are ideal, and should appear candid and true-to-life, not posed. No person should be looking directly at the camera.

Photos should appear to be “straight from the camera” without added effects such as filters, overlays or montage effects. This includes photos of objects of any kind.

Avoid the use of illustrations or ”clip art” as much as possible.

Text and Wording

File Names: File names for marketing materials that are provided externally as PDFs should follow this format:

[Company or Division Name] [Topic] [Type of Material].pdf

Examples:

  • IGP Specialty Professional Liability Fact Sheet.pdf
  • IGP Specialty Approved Carriers Info Sheet.pdf
  • IGP Specialty Contacts Brochure.pdf
  • HealthcarePros Social Services Program Brochure.pdf
  • StaffPak Insurance for PEOs Fact Sheet.pdf
  • Safehold Sports Health & Fitness Clubs Flyer.pdf

Phone Numbers: Phone numbers should follow the (XXX) XXX-XXXX format. It is unnecessary to identify an office number with “Office” or ”O,“ but cellphone and fax numbers may be identified. The preferred format is:

  • C: (XXX) XXX-XXXX
  • F: (XXX) XXX-XXXX

Possessives: Don't make the Long Version of our name a possessive. Reword or use the Short Version.

  • NO: Innovation Growth Partners Specialty, LLC’s programs are top-notch.
  • OK: IGP Specialty’s programs are top-notch.

Best bet: Avoid a possessive altogether.

  • YES: IGP Specialty programs are top-notch.
  • YES: Our programs are top-notch.

Websites: The URL for the IGP Specialty website should appear at least once in any marketing piece. It should read exactly as follows, all lowercase, without ”https://www“:

  • igpspecialty.com

Likewise, URLs for websites associated with IGP Specialty should follow the same format:

  • harborrisk.com, armorpark.com, useo.com

Trade Show Giveaways

Logo Imprinting: Some giveaway items present a challenge when having a logo imprinted, due to the color of the item or the space allowed for the logo (or both).

DON’T have the logo printed on a colored item.*

Why? Since white is the absence of ink, printing the logo on a colored item like a coffee mug will cause the color of the item to show through, effectively changing the logo.

*If no other option is available, contact the marketing team for guidance.

Pens and Similarly-Shaped Items: The IGP Specialty logo, in either variation, will appear unreasonably small when imprinted on an item like a pen.

A special-use IGP Specialty logo can be used for items like these. This logo, Logo C, should never be used for any other reason than for imprinting on "skinny" giveaway items, unless the item is large enough to accommodate the logo at minimum size or more (see The Logo and Branding Bar.)

To access Logo C, contact Steve Beavers.

A:  Not if you submit a request in the portal—we’ll ensure your material meets brand guidelines. But if you are creating your own material, such as a PowerPoint deck, yes.
